Birthdays in Berlin

Ruth, Trev and around 12 friends visited George in Berlin - ostensibly in order to celebrate Ruth's birthday but it was really a good excuse to visit an amazing city.

George did an amazing job of organising living space for us all, borrowing a flat off a friend and finding another one that we could rent for the weekend. He also did lots of lovely other things, such as printing off maps for us all and giving us endless advice.

We all rented bikes, which was the best thing we could have done as it made the holiday very relaxing and we got to see a lot more of the city than we would have if we had been stuck on the tube the whole time.

we spent the vast majority of our time eating and drinking, although there was also some sightseeing and some museums visited. we also partook in some of Berlin's infamous nightclubs, although we missed out on the much talked of panaroma bar/bergheim because no-one much wanted to queue for 2 hours in the pouring rain.

next time perhaps. I intend to return at Easter and Lizzie has already said she might come with me. thanks so much again dad. Ruth x
